Some photos from our climb of the Nufenen Pass in Switzerland. Its 2478m and 8.5 hours climb dragging bikes to the top. It was very hard to just walk , not even ride it. Riders that passed us where really slow and tired. But finally we arrived to the top with big smile and 80km of down heal ride after ;)

And we arrived to London ;) ...

Hi all,
Tomorrow we are riding at 4am to Dublin Port and crossing to England by boat, then by train to London to meet our friends Joanne and Ben. From there we will start cycling to France. But today... hehe...
Dina is nagging for the past few days to go for a ride, but because I had so much things to do, I didn't have the time.Fortunately we finished packing everything in advance, so today we had a free day to finish things. So we hoped on the bikes and took a ride around Maynooth. Dina was really scared at the beginning as you can see in this photo:

But then she got over it and really enjoyed the ride. Surprisingly it wasn't hard as we thought. The bike are heavy, but still not too bad. At the end of the ride we had a decent, hehe, I tried to go fast, and Yoo Hoo, really good. The bike is steady and feel solid. Here some photos from the ride.

So we leave Maynooth soon ;)  Actually on Sunday 5/6/2009 to London.
We had lovely barbeque at Ben and Shravan's home (2009.06.26). Really good weather this month in Ireland, so we enjoyed it very much. I also sang few songs. So it was great. Here is the movie Vahid took and the photos:

Then Buket invited us ... Lovely Turkish Burek (Burekas Pashtida, hehe)... tnx
Keynan and Buket where kind enough to help us with our luggage, and they will drive to the port with our luggage, and we will cycle with the bikes to Dublin. So Buket and Keynan will be the last people we'll see in Irelad. Woo Hoo. hehe.
And... hehe... We went for a dinner at Ramana's and Febe's home. Very good spicy Indian food ;)
Look at Febe with the dole ;) hehe. We tried to pictutre Jotsna with him and the dole, but at the end she ran and he staid with the dole ;)
And for the final goodby Steffi and Florian invited us for a dinner, which was absolutely great. It was great evening. At the end we watched two episodes of Father Ted which is such a funny and punchy comedy about irish priests. Really really funny.
Thanks guys for all the fun we had the last months. We really really enjoyed it.  Wish us luck, we are on the move ...

By Kfir.
So, this is our first post to the blog. Lets start it with a big smile ;) We got our Crosso panniers. Ah, Oh, I'm very happy. It took few weeks, until we managed to decide and get those panniers.
At the start I was really into buying the Ortlieb back and front rollers, but when I really needed to open my wallet, I did another internet search, and saw this panniers.
Crosso has also a line of dry panniers that are similar to the Ortliebs, but half the price, but when I saw the pictures in Crosso website of the bright courdura panniers, I was really hooked, because you really see the bicycle from far.
At the end we went with the Twist panniers which where in the middle in the price range. The Expert are the expensive ones, but they are twist with a lid and pockets. I did wanted the Expert ones, but at the end decided to save some money. Dina was paranoid that we will not be left with money for the trip ;) hehe.
We also bought two dry bags size Large for the tent and the mattresses. This will save time and will give us more room in the panniers.
Here is a picture of two polish riders from Crosso Blogs:

As you can see, the panniers are very very visible. I also thought that the color is just brilliant, no really ;) and I'm a color blue person ;)
The other thing that attracted me to buy those panniers, was the fact that they are made from Cordura®, which I remember that back then in 90's (about), backpacks where made from Cordura and cost a lot. Today they use different material that looks very nice, but I know that Gregory have a line of professional equipment that looks like backpacks of the 80's 90's ;) which lead me to believe that this material is good and expensive. Now, this is why we bought those panniers. Lets give it a time and see how they preform.
